The Uttlesford Big Green Festival 5th -14th June – Two of the Sustainable Hadstock team are presenting at major events – Ian Jennings is on a discussion panel at the launch Event on the 5 June and Peter Jarritt is presenting on Sustainable Hadstock Energy Achievements on the 13 June Energy Event’.
Family Nature Day 14th June at West Wood, near Thaxted.

We are organising a series of events in the Village Hall with plenty of opportunity to hear from Energy and Nature experts and ask all your questions.
This Spring the topics will focus on Energy Solutions and Nature:
- June 26: The Challenges and Successes for Wildlife in Cornwall and lessons for Sustainable Hadstock, by Matt Walpole, Chief Executive Cornwall Wildlife Trust and a Hadstock resident.
Our Recycling & Waste Journey (Ben Brown, UDC Director of Climate and Environment, Lynne Smith – Recycling in Hadstock). Friday 31st October (Village Hall: 6:30 – 7:30pm)
Join us for an informative evening to learn more about the waste journey in the district, ambitious recycling targets in Essex, and what happens now none of Uttlesford’s waste goes to landfill. Ben will guide us through what happens to our waste once it is collected, tell us where Uttlesford stands in the recycling charts, and discuss how we can improve our recycling rates. Lynne will cover what is also available in Hadstock
